Vibe

I like to remind clients in their prep guide that the location we choose to shoot in will definitely set the tone, and to really think about the vibe that they want to give off. If I have a yoga or wellness client, shooting in a more natural environment may be better than a rooftop in the middle of a bustling city. A fashion influencer would turn heads with a cool city location as her backdrop as opposed to in the middle of a forest. When you set the vibe correctly, you can tell your story in a way that people will visually understand.

Location Selection Questionnaire

I have a location questionnaire in my prep guide that my clients can fill out and this allows me to understand more about them, what vibe they are really trying to accomplish so that I can make suggestions based on my knowledge of the city. A lot of times clients only kind of know what they like, so this questionnaire helps me help them make the best choice based on what I think they are trying to say and curate a look and feel that really elevates their brand or personality.
